2K Sports has announced partnerships with seven new baseball players for the promotion of its Major League Baseball 2K10, selecting athletes who will serve both as spokesmen and gameplay advisors.
2K Sports says it wants to create "the most authentic MLB video game to date," and to that end it's consulted: Oakland Athletics relief pitcher Andrew Bailey; Seattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez; New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes; Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau; Detroit Tigers starter Justin Verlander, LA Angels first baseman Kendry Morales, and Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz.
