As promised, this week's Nintendo downloads include the Wii port of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. It's available for 1,000 Wii Points ($10), and uses Wii remote swinging to replace the DS' microphone as the interactive courtroom feature. The special fifth case that was added to the DS version will be available as downloadable content sometime in the future. The first game in the popular series is notoriously hard to find, and can cost upwards of $100 for a legitimate, new copy. Even with the inevitable charge of DLC coming, this is far cheaper than you're likely to find DS copy.
The WiiWare offerings don't stop with Wright, though. The service also adds Chronos Twins DX this week, an adventure/puzzle game for 1,000 Wii Points. ShadowPlay, available for 800 Wii Points ($8), is a puzzle game that uses everyday objects to make shadow puppets. The Wii's Virtual Console this week brings us just one game, Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye for 800 Wii Points. This mahjong solitaire game was originally on the Genesis.
DSiWare this week carries on the mahjong theme of popular games taken to a digital format. Touch Solitaire is exactly what it sounds like: a solitaire game for 200 DSi Points ($2). Similarly, Jazzy Billboards for 500 Points ($5) is a game of 9-ball set to jazz music for 1-2 players. Finally, Word Searcher is a (guess what?) word search game available for 500 points.
