Wolfenstein
Review Score:

Most game makers try to make something new out of something old but few are able to pull it off. Is this round of Wolfenstien any different?

Well, for starters we do have a cool story line. The Nazis are trying to open a portal to the “black sun” and let all kinds of crazy creatures come to earth. Not good! Time to lock and load some big guns and try to kick Nazi butt one more time.

As you blast your way from mission to mission you soon get this same familiar feeling. You have to go through town to travel between missions. This gets old very quickly and starts to feel a lot like filler for the game.

If you can get past the pointless travel through town between every mission it will be a lot of fun. You get some cool weapons including some crazy energy weapons that put the hurt on most anything in sight.

As you advance so do your enemies. Fighting very fast, invisible enemies can only be done with this special crystal/artifact thingy that lets you slow down time, shield yourself, etc. It uses some of that black sun energy to help you mop the streets with Nazis and weird monster guys and twin diva karate chicks.

All in all this game was fun. I got really annoyed with the travel time between missions but I’m an impatient person so this could have just been a personality issue. Anyway, it was fun, a little short, but still fun. Blowing up Nazis never really gets old I guess. So, if you are looking for a FPS that has a decent story line and you really have a thing for Nazis then check this one out.
